Merely translating presentations and enrollment materials for Spanish-speaking employees is not enough, according to an article in the Employee Benefit News. To overcome possible misperceptions, plan sponsors need to make clear that: (1) only a small part of investment earnings are taken out as fees; (2) saving for retirement in cash will lose you money over the long run; and (3) investing for retirement isn’t just for the wealthy.

NADART can address such concerns with our Enrollers service, details of which can be found by reading Enrollers: What They Can Do for You, an article in our Retirement Quarterly newsletter. An additional service provided by NADART is our toll-free information hotline for plan sponsors and participants who have questions about their plan, including a dedicated-bilingual specialist for our Spanish-speaking clients. If you would like to learn more about our services, please complete our Product Information Request Form or call (800) 462-3278, ext. 7161 or e-mail nadart401k@nada.org.
