The U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Employment Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) is holding a free workshop on the fiduciary responsibilities of small businesses, employers, etc. on September 25, 2008 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Details on the workshop, including a registration form, are available on the DOL Web site. The deadline for registration is September 19, 2008. Topics to be covered in the workshop include EBSA’s Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program, an introduction to fiduciary responsibilities under ERISA, and an overview of the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA).

NADART offers a number of our own workshops for current plan sponsors, including those that deal with fiduciary responsibilities.
